THE KENTUCKY CIVIL WAR BUGLE STAFF
Ed Ford, editor and publisher, is a long-time newspaper
reporter, publications editor and public relations practitioner.
He was an award-winni
ng editor and public relations specialist
at Ford Motor Company and the Goodyear Tire & Rubber
Company and retired as public relations director at Berea
College. An early member of the Battle of Richmond (KY)
Association (BORA), he is a past president and board member
of that organization and is the author of "The Draw,"
a historical novelette based on the August 1862
Civil War Battle of Richmond.
Phillip Seyfrit, historic properties director for Madison County
(KY), directs the history center and Battlefield Park for the
Battle of Richmond. A Civil War enthusiast since childhood,
Seyfrit has visited numerous battlefields in addition to doing
intensive reading and research on the War-Between-the-States.
He also portrays Union Col. William H. Link, Confederate
Col. Preston Smith and civilian Kavanaugh Armstrong,
who were prominent personalities in the Battle of Richmond.
Paul D. Rominger, managing director of the Battle of Richmond
Association, directs the day-to-day operations of BORA and
works directly with Madison County’s historic properties director.
A long-time secondary school teacher and college professor,
he holds degrees in education and history and has a doctorate
in history from Oxford Graduate School. Rominger is a
specialist in early American and Civil War history.
Joseph E. Brent is vice president of Mudpuppy and Waterdog,
a historic preservation consulting firm located in Versailles, Ky.
He has an extensive background in historic preservation,
particularly where the Civil War is concerned and has worked
as a public history consultant to state, federal and non-profit
organizations; his firm has worked on projects in 13 states and
Washington, D.C. Brent is the former director of the Kentucky
Heritage Commission.
Tammy Cornett, advertising director, is the creative director
for the Bugle and Hype, a Richmond advertising and marketing
firm. She has an extensive background in community and
public relations and has worked throughout southeast Kentucky
for non-profit and for-profit agencies, groups and organizations.
